South Tyrol/Transalp

 
The project “South Tyrol/Transalp” covers the province South Tyrol with its capital Bozen in Northern Italy. This offers an optimal possibility for the testing of telematics services and new services for tourism, as well as for the technical measurement of terrestrial reception of the DMB signal in topographical difficult situations. With the start of a continous test program at the 04th of September, covers the Rundfunkanstalt Südtirol (RAS) nearly a quarter of the population with its one DMB video and three DMB audio programs in L band.
 
Additionally the Italian content provider RTL 102.5 and project partner of MI FRIENDS reaches with its one DMB video program broadcasted over their DAB/DMB (Band III) broadcast network, already today up to 65% of the Italian population.
